Robert E. Engstrom, Jr., MD
Dr. Robert Engstrom is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina. As a retinal specialist, Dr. Engstrom completed 6 years of specialty training following graduation from medical school.
He completed his residency and fellowship training at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute after graduating from medical school at UCLA.
He was also the Co-Director of the Ophthalmic Oncology Center at the Jules Stein Eye Institute from 1995 to 2005 and Chief of Ophthalmology at the UCLA-Olive View Medical Center from 1995 to 2006. Dr. Engstrom now serves on the faculty of the Jules Stein Eye Institute as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, and as a volunteer clinical instructor at the UCLA-Olive View Medical Center, he continues to take an active role supervising and teaching residents and fellows from Jules Stein.
